The third album of the Hamburg band! In the eighth band year LETO from Hamburg are aware of the real meaning of their band name with their third studio album "LEben und TOt". After the two albums "Vor die Hunde" (vo 08/18), "Wider" (vo 10/20) and three digital single releases in 2022 ("Meins/Deins u.a.) Leto again stretch the genre diversity, which is attributed to them by relevant magazines since the debut album. On the safe post-punk trail that bands like Turbostaat, Love A or Pascow trudged into the musical landscape over the years, it is still comfortable to walk. However, Leto tear out on "Leben und tot" as strongly as never before and scream their souls out in emo/post-hardcore manner and turn guitar effects back up to full blast. Lyrically, Leto are clearer on "Leben und tot" than before and discuss and punctuate in subject areas such as structural inequality or climate crisis - the index finger Leto direct primarily at themselves. "Life and Death" is loud and demanding. In total, more than 30 songs were written for the album, 11 of which were selected. The album was recorded by Kristian Kat Toolhouse (Rotenburg a.d. Fulda) and mixed in Hamburg. Hauke Albrecht did the mastering of the record. Julius Dettmer created the artwork. "Leben und tot" will be released via Rookie Records in an edition of 500 on LP and digital.
