Lawson, Davie
Tree Tumble Wake Mother
Comparisons to some of the great singer-songwriter records that came out of the UK in the late 1960s and early 1970s are
not out of place here. Welshman Davie Lawsons 2nd album sees him settling into the writing and recording process where
hints of John Martyn, Nick Drake and Graham Nashs iconic "Songs for Beginners" emerge as clear influences. Lawson is
remains nevertheless entirely his own beast. Recorded direct to tape this is a record rich in analogue warmth and
emotion - not a note of it overstated or unfelt.
