Gunler Abdula is a Rroma playwright and poet from Skopia in Macedonia. His collaboration here with PARNE GADJE and in
particular, composer Marc Constandse, is a stunning merging of styles and moods. Abdula, via "Bizoagor" narrates the
ancient sojourn of the Rromas out of the Punjab into Central-Europe with visions of prancing horses, roadside fires,
swirling stars and the age-old conflicts of timeless persecution, migration and homelessness. Constandse manages to
invoke this further with his powerful soundscapes, performed deftly by Parne Gadje. Intensely beautiful. Not the
slightest bit commercial. Too honest for that.
