OCTE OBDUCTA - a name in the landscape of music which often there are different thoughts on it. For some they are untrue, for others to avantgarde or experimental. But nevertheless, NOCTE OBDUCTA is a band which is totally unpredictable and surely remains... After the Black-Metal styled Comeback-Album "Verderbnis" the band presents on "Umbriel" itself more complex than ever before and many who heard this album upfront explained to hear already one of the best albums released in the year 2013... The space, silence and emptiness... This is the basic theme of the new monumental work. Limits which someone expected from NOCTE OBDUCTA blown up and "Umbriel" is a masterpiece between spherical passage alternating with 70s rock elements and crowned with Nocte-typical elements. Lyrically it is a trip through space and time and also really worth reading are the linernotes included to the Limited CD edition and the Vinyl Edition. Maybe you know: Umbriel is the darkest of Uranus moons and here it is really much to tell. The decent lyrics are already great but if you have to possibillity to read the linernotes to dig in into the universe of NOCTE OBDUCTA and finally get a giant of album! For me personally already THE album of the year I convince you...
