Everyones favorite ,ninety-four year old" Chilean gypsy princess Kali Mutsa, aka PHARAOH KORALLE ESPERANZA DEL CARMEN PANTIC, has finally released her first LP, "Souvenance". She already caused a stir with her debut release, an EP called "Ambrolina" in 2011. It was a wildly infectious record fusing elements of South American folklore, electronica, vocal elements that were distinctly Far Eastern and a refreshing theatricality, which she also brings to her live shows. The brandnew album "Souvenance" is again a colorful, kaleidoscopic mix of Latin Alternative and World Electronica with elements of Dubstep, Bollywood rhythms and Gypsy with lyrics in Spanish and Romani. The music is upbeat and creative and infuses the above genres perfectly creating a sound that is exotic but also has some urban grit and in places reminds of M.I.A.. Highly recommended!
