After a five year wait we are proud to present the third album of a true queen of ska-reggae: "Have Fun". Begoa Bang-Matu - the internationally most identifiable female voice of todays Jamaican music scene in Spain - in collaboration with Valencias band THE SHAKE IT UPS presents 14 new tracks recorded at El Sotano studio (Valencia) and A-Lone Ark studio (Santander) with the production of the influential Roberto Sanchez. The outcome is spectacular. Begoa Bang-Matu in a grand tour de force displays her technical maturity throughout the record corroborating that she is by her own right an enormous singer and an outstanding composer. It is plain to see why she is one of the most important voices of modern ska-reggae. The rock-solid instrumental background provided by The Shake It Ups, a band hardened in a thousand battles, is also a guarantee of consistency and detail. This collaboration has been going on on stage for over two years and now is being recorder for the first time. Not to forget to mention the vocal harmonies of the Nortones, the collaboration of the vocal trio catapulsts Begoas voice to the level of the best records of the ones like Marcia Griffins, Doreen Shaffer or Marie Pierre. "Have Fun" has a lot of early reggae, reggaeand ska jazz. A lot of fun and romance. But above all has tons of feeling and class.
