At the end of 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic unfortunately also affects Travellin' Blue Kings. Originally founded by Belgian and Dutch musicians, it turned out that it was no longer possible to keep the band active & creative across national borders. The renewed "full Belgian" line-up bears solid letters of nobility and an impressive pedigree: Blues Lee, Howlin Bill, Rhythm Bombs, Fried Bourbon, Jim Cofey, Hideaway . just to name a few. Last year, the two Corona singles "Gotta Get Away" and "Too Many People" set the tone and demonstrated a critical view of the world's goings-on. In February "A Stiffer Drink" once again articulated a state of mind anno 2022. And now theres the album "Bending The Rules", the synthesis of the passion and ability of five gentlemen who have nothing more to prove. The title says it all: honest songs that arent necessarily painted within the dotted lines of the genre, but who simply fill themselves in. Up to you to judge ...
