Tommy & The Youth
Mean, Moody & Magnificent
After various singles and an already successful debut LP, Danish super boy-band The Youth is striking back with a brand
new release, starring English front-man Tom H. Wing of The Teamsters, our song-writer of predilection here at the Moody
Monkey headquarters'. The Youth's passion for blues, garage, rhythm'n'blues and beat music is obvious. They're
energetic, melodic and trashy. Well, it sounds to me like "young workers power sound with smart elements". On stage,
theyre considered as a band delivering honesty and taking people by surprise with a pure energy and spontaneous
appearance: The Youth spit out contagious beat music and sweat their asses off. With a craving for the simple and
unpolished elegance, desperation toward today's tendencies, songs anyone can understand, a beat everyone can fall in
love with, riffs that anybody can sing along with and a groove everybody can feel, The Youth asked this time their good
friend Tommy to write a couple of songs and to accompany them on guitar and vocals, which of course gives that very
special and passionate highlight on this four tracks 7" "mean, moody and magnificent". Once again, the cover was
designed at Arthole by Bruce Brand. So go get a copy of this record in your favourite record shop, or find it online. Be
fast and catch the band when they're playing in your town!
