After several years spent in Canada, where Roy Thompson set up in 2003 a band called "Roy Thompson & His Royal
Acadians", some tours in Canada, USA and Europe and an album cut in 2004. Roy decided to head back to Europe and in 2010
started the band again with a new line-up: The Mellow Kings. Their style is heading from an early 50s Rhythm & Blues to
a late 50s early 60s Blues Rock with a rockin and sizzlin guitar. Their influences in music are pretty much wide in a
range of Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Swing and Rockin with artists such as Ike Turner, Ray Charles, T-Bone Walker, Freddie
King and many others.. With a special love for Billie Holiday.
Just look around and try to catch them playing for some Hot Rhythm & Blues Night Howls!!!
