Hayden Thompson, born in Booneville, Mississippi, in 1938, in one of the original rockabilly cats who recorded for the legendary Sun Records label in the 1950's. In the 1960's Hayden turned his attention to country music recording a string of singles and an album for Kapp Records. The revival of the rockabilly genre brought him back to the roots of his style, and since 1984 he has continued to periodically tour Europe and Japan, as well as to perform in the U.S. His latest three albums, "Hayden Thompson", "Standing Tall" and "Learning the Game", are considered among his best recorded work. This CD brings a real treat to all Hayden Thompson fans. On one disc are packed his long out of print albums "Booneville Mississippi Flash" (1985) and "The Time Is Now" (1990) plus six bonus tracks, five of them previously unreleased.
