TEST OF TIME was formed just about two years ago by a group of friends with mutual admiration for both straight edge and hardcore punk music. Their mission early on was simple: to create music a little different than what was dominating the Boston hardcore scene. TEST OF TIME succeeded in doing so and have amassed an impressive song catalog since their formation, with a ten-track demo (Inclusion), an EP (their Bridge 9 debut, The Price), and multiple one-off cover singles (GERMS, SKID ROW, MISSION OF BURMA) to their name already. In conjunction, TEST OF TIME played high-profile shows along the EasternSeaboard and went on to tour Central America in the fall of late 2013. This three-song EP, A Place Beyond, is a preview of the bustling, melodic youth crew aggression thats in store on their first LP. All three tracks are exclusive to this EP, the second of which is an alternate version of BY DESIGNs "Timeline," with guest spots by fellow Mass edgemen Pat Flynn (HAVE HEART), Sweet Pete (IN MY EYES) and Brian Connors (CAUGHT IN A CROWD). TEST OF TIMEs current lineup features noted Boston-area photographer Todd Pollock (vocals) alongside Charles Chaussinand (guitarist), James Christopher (guitar/vocals), Jeff Novak (drums) and new member Robert heeseman (ex-DAYTRADER) on bass. Each record also comes with an exclusive 4" x 6" photo the band took while on tour in Central America, with each picture unique to that records packaging.
