In Flanders' Fields 98: A Symphony Of Trees
The oratorio A Symphony of Trees is an emotional and musical reflection on Passchendaele 1917. It revolves around the inner monologues in many of the war poems of Ivor Gurney, a soldier as well as a poet and a composer. Feminine pendants are heard in moving poetry by Charlotte Mew and Margaret Postgate Cole. Live recording of the premiere in the cathedral of Ypres on September 15, 2017.
