Mind Travel series newcomer, Tomasz Sroczynski, a young Polish composer and violinist, offers us an exhilarating and profoundly audacious work. Born on 25 December 1987 in Radomsko, and now dwelling by the Polish mountains near Babia Gra, his work, based on improvisation, oscillates between contemporary and electronic music.His influences are multiple, one naturally thinks of the great Polish composers of the 20th century: Szymanowski, Lu- toslawski, Penderecki, Gorecki, Kilar. But Tomasz Sroczynski also seems to worship the Estonian composer Arvo Part and also evokes finding his inspiration in techno, that of Detroit and, more recently, German minimalist techno.
