"Having just put out a full length, we didn't know exactly what we wanted to do next. We've always made a point to cover classic tunes in our live show, so we decided to track some of those songs as an experiment. We recorded a few versions and they came out sounding really good. At first we thought we'd leave it at that; maybe do a single, but the sounds we were getting were so great that we decided to keep recording and lay down some originals too."
