Severini, Simona
Fedra
FEDRA was born out of the encounter between Daniele Richiedei (violin and viola), Simona Severini (voice and guitar) and
Giulio Corini (double bass). It is a group with a creative, label-free approach to music, exploring the threshold
between jazz and early music, with a repertoire spanning 600 years of music history: from Monteverdi to Nick Drake, from
Orlando di Lasso to Henry Purcell. The trio's line-up is sometimes extended by making use of distinguished guests who
are among the best known exponents of the national jazz scene, who share a particular sensitivity to chamber music
sound, as in the case of the quartet with guitarist Peo Alfonsi, which is completed with the guest appearance of Fulvio
Sigurta on trumpet.
