The cinematic nature of the album predominantly defines its mood: the title track for example, leans slightly towards Miles Daviss film score in L'Ascenseur Pour LEchafaud, with the strong, sober-serene and essential contribution of Thea Vissers cornet. Hang Out With The Whipster Dude recorded with- and dedicated to the band Whipster, is full of Lynchian references through the guitar feedback sounds of Peter van der Heide and the baritone guitar of Rudy himself. From Rudys childhood we hear his own arrangements of Im A Fool To Care (Ted Daffan) and of the krontjong classic Bengawan Solo (Gesang Martohartono) which is dedicated to Rudys late mother.
