Romane is one of the greatest French guitarists, and also the most prolific composer of gypsy-jazz, having written many scores and publications. But at heart he remains very much a musician whose desire is to communicate and share his love of the genre: he has written music-manuals and also founded his own music school, the "Romane Swing Academy". He works with his two sons, both unrivalled guitarists: Richard Manetti (sponsored as a Jazz Talent by the SACEM foundation) also published the magnificent "Why note" (Label Bleu) in 2012, a consecration of Romane's teaching-techniques. This record contains all the musical virtues one expects from such a tightly-knit group. Apart from their interest in the music, these musicians connect together perfectly when playing.
