Though their name instantly brings to mind COUNT ME OUTs infamous sophomore LP, their sound is more like a modern twist on Richmond forefathers FOUR WALLS FALLING or even Washington, D.C.s BATTERY. PERMANENT already has a rich history, having played alongside AVAIL, SINKING SHIPS, SHOOK ONES, etc. While melodic hardcore is a bloated genre, PERMANENT stands apart from that crowd with a dark edge to their distinct sound.
