Penitenziali was written and recorded in 1983, while Pale tv were pretty young but still one of the best kept promises of the revolutionary Italian wave. This release is not a re-issue at the end of the day, mostly it is made up of unreleased material, through the hard work of scouring through archival recordings collected by the members of the band as well as producer Oderso Rubini, founder of the influential label Italian Records. So this is the second album of the band, unissued for 32 long years and sought after by a large number of dedicated fans all over the globe. Their first album - Blue Agents - is still considered one of the best release of the era. The record topped the chart of many exclusive Italian magazines in 1982, being described as one of the most original new wave artefacts. The band came together in 1978 and split up in 1983. Now, in 2015, fans of the band the world over can celebrate this release of amazing archival recordings from this classic Italian wave group.
