Frank Wildhorn's Dracula - The Musical - with a libretto by Don Black and Christopher Hampton - spins this one further. More than just the stations of an increasingly risky chase, it explores the great emotional realms of its plagued characters. It's a classic good vs. evil story that's played out not only in context but also in the protagonist himself: In this love story between vampire and his prey, Dracula is both romantic hero and villain. Her blood soaked heart are the songs that make up this live recording. After productions in California, on Broadway and in Graz - where the ensemble was immortalized on CD in 2007 - the vampires are now up to mischief in Ulm's Wilhelmsburg.
