Grow It Right is the vinyl compilation of The Orange Kyte's 2016 monthly singles. Beginning with January's 'Morning Pages' and ending with December's 'Fizzy Orange', Grow It Right documents an evolution in sound and scale, from humble beginnings as an experimental solo recording project, to finishing the year as full-on garage psych rock 'n' roll band. Based in Vancouver, BC, The Orange Kyte was initially conceived by Stevie Moonboots as a collaborative recording project, the manifesto being to release a single each month for 2016 utilizing whatever and whoever was available. With the guts of 30 individuals involved in total, the songs were largely fleshed out during the recording process, serving as snapshots of a period of the project's progression. Each song is rooted in melodic pop but wrapped in a gooey, melty layer of West Coast-inspired psychedelia. Includes a download code of the whole album plus two more tracks and the vinyl is pressed on opaque orange vinyl.
