Onsturicheit is the moniker of Peter Moorkens, resident of Gent, Belgium and obsessed with music. Be it as a musician, concert-goer or just listener, he always searches for the twist in things. As a fan of Zappa, King Crimson, Klaus Schulze and Legendary Pink Dots amongst many others it is no wonder his music always has the psychedelic touch, whether it's folk, pop, stoner or soundscapes. With Onsturicheit he expresses his love for experimental ambient through modular systems, showing us that both Schulze and Legendary Pink Dots can live in one sonic universe of psychedelic sequenced ambient soundscapes. With a stream of selreleases and releases in small quantities through Wool-E Tapes and Belgian NeuMusik and the digital label Modular404 Peter Moorkens has shown that Onsturicheit is not a one day fly. Changing the setup for every performance and for every recording, every Onsturicheit experience is different, never dull, never repeating itself.
