The lyrical message is powerful, reminding the listener that there is a King on every corner trying to influence his followers, and if you dont walk your own path it will be a dead end street; you risk losing control in life over things that were taken for granted. My Own Army, have softened the grunge rock sounds on this album, by adding more progressive rock power riffs, swaying time signatures, and fortified with electric sparks. Inspired by bands such as: A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Tool, and Oceansize, My Own Army is a band that continually looks to surpass their boundaries both musically and lyrically. The band gives an energetic and dynamic live performance, mixing a bombastic bass-and-drums-driven rock sound with melodic and atmospheric vocals, electronic beats and wailing lead guitars.
