Don't Pet The White Dog
This is the debut album by The MERCYFUNKS, entitled "Don't Pet The White Dog." It is an homage to The BEATLES "White
Album", and features 31 original songs and comes with a full color poster. It was released to coincide with the 46th
anniversary of The Beatles' original 1968 recording. The MERCYFUNKS are: Pony Thompson, Vocals, Kevin Teare, Drums,
Jewlee Trudden, Guitar & Keelan James ,Piano & Organ. Guest instrumentalists include members from: Gang of 4, Bush
Tetras, The Fugs, The B-52s, MX-80 Sound and The Lovin' Spoonful among others. The vinyl album was recorded and pressed
using entirely analog equipment and is a completely different mix than the digitized CD version. The CD and vinyl albums
were designed by artist Kevin Teare, are individually numbered and are limited editions of 1000 and 500 copies
respectively.
