Mister X
Worst In Ex-ussr Since 2003
Compilation of 14 tracks of the Belarusian street punk band around the singer and activist IGOR BANCER - Vinyl LP
including liner notes by LARS LEWERENZ on AUDIOLITH. MISTER X have long since made a name for themselves. Founded in
2003 in the Western Belarusian city of Grodno, the band quickly developed into the figurehead of the anti-racist
skinhead scene in Eastern Europe. Her texts deal with subcultural identity, everyday life and problems of the working
class as well as clear statements against racism and all forms of exclusion and oppression. MISTER X has released three
longplayers, a split album with the Moscow hardcore band WHAT WE FEEL as well as some EPs, demos and sampler
contributions. After several tours throughout Europe, including repeated appearances with FEINE SAHNE FISCHFILET and
MOSCOW DEATH BRIGADE, the present compilation now offers a cross-section of the band's almost 20-year history and makes
all creative phases and some rare titles accessible to a wider audience for the first time. The release is the
continuation of MISTER X's collaboration with AUDIOLITH and FIRE AND FLAMES Music, but also a current political
statement of international solidarity for a band whose singer was imprisoned in Belarus for months as a critic of the
regime.
