Mio/duct Hearts
Split
one song each band, DUCT HEARTS (ex Wishes on a Plane) play an unbelievingly detailed and passionate 6+ minutes song
with a fairly long and soft postrockish dreamy guitar introduction, when the whole band sets in you get a twinkly
verse/refrain with airy, softly sung vocals that have been compared to Elliott's final album Song in the Air. When
suddenly the band stops it gives space to a powerful climax, starting with clean guitars and calm and fragile yet
beautiful vocals turning into thick palm muted guitars escorted by accentuated drumbeats to a desperately screamed wish
for being home. they stop. they break out into a instrumental wall of sound, full of guitars and melodies, stopping
again leaving you asking for more. dh have been compared to Logh, Montreal on Fire or Mineral gone postrock. MIO is a
very likeable guitar/drums duo whose noisy, direct sound has been compared to (most obviously) Her Breath on Glass or
Indian Summer. They combine super silent parts with very trashy, dirty outbreaks with screamed male/female vocals. You
get a melodic, downbeat, screamo brooder that bursts into a harsh vocals part way through.
