Ras Mandingo started out as a studio musician (Pianist, Trombonist & background vocalist) recording and later touring with some of Jamaica..s veteran musicians. Over the years he has managed to reach or appeal to an international audience and in the process has also created a style of his own. The fact that he resides both in Jamaica & Europe can be equated with his success as an artist composer and songwriter. Touring Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Spain, the Netherland, Russia and ofcourse Germany where he also resides. Over the years Mandingo has toured with the likeness of Cedella Marley Booker, Desmond Decker, Gregory Isaacs, Ini Kamose, Iqulah, Yellow Man, Aubrey Adams, Justin Hines.... just to name few. Mandingo..s projects includes "Mandingo & Friends", Jamaica Showcase & last but not least Riddim of Zion, a showcase which features Jamaican Reggaeartist touring Europe. 2004 mandingo took a creative pause from Europe in Jamaica. Fact is Ras Mandingo is back in Europe burning the fire as usual. From Ska over Roots Reggae to Rap, he is still hypnotising his audience with his performances & as always he is a positive Jamaican influence in Europe.
