Vastly different from its English namesake, Windsor, Ontario has been one of the driving forces behind the music of Lodown. Unlike the affluence of Windsor UK the small city of Windsor in Ontario, Canada has areas with some of the highest unemployment rates in the country. These facts have made a lasting impression on Lodown throughout the eight years that the band has been together and they have written music that has been described as "shaded musical landscapes with sudden twists which harness outstanding talent" securing them numerous Canadian and US college radio station top ten chartings. Lodown have already toured with Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Mastodon, fiftywatthead, and Latefallen and in Spring 2009 they are planning a full UK Tour to build on their Transatlantic success.
