Laid Blak are proud to release their compilation album aptly named 'From the Vaults' on Sugar Shack Records. In 2020 the world came to a grinding halt but for the band it was an ideal opportunity to stop, reflect and reminisce on what is fast approaching 20 years of writing, producing & performing their music. So founding members Bunjy & Joe Peng set about digging through the archives and have remastered a selection of never released pieces of work. There are some familiar big hitters that fans will have heard live on stage such as 'Roodie' & 'Golden'and some guest vocals from favourites Tita Lua 'Pain' and Tanya Lacey 'Keep Fit' which incidentally at the time featured on Fatman Scoop's infamous TV programme. There is huge influence from some original band members including fresh vocals from the one and only Flex on 'The Way I Feel' & 'If It Ain't Jah'. As always expect an eclectic mix of musical influences from reggae, dub, soul & blues all shaken and stirred into that unique Laid Blak sound that has graced us over the past two decades.
