On their fourth album Kokon, the Amsterdam septet KOFFIE focuses on the dance floor with a collection of songs built from rich afro funk and percussive workouts. The sound has been stripped down to a compact b-boy sound in which the sax solos have made way for feel-good riffs and Brazilian-inspired percussion where the guitar and synth riffs excel in between. Kokon is the next step in KOFFIE's evolution towards a sound that sounds tighter, funkier and tastier than ever.
