In their first album « Radio Caucase », KAVKAZZ played and sang 12 songs chosen among the most magnificent and well-known Caucasian melodies. KAVKAZZ brings its own and very special sound to these old folk songs, with flying voices singing along slide guitar and flutes, and talking with ancestral lutes. From Georgian to Megrelian, there are no less than 5 different languages to hear in « Radio Caucase », showing the cultural richness of the region. Musican and composer Fabien Mornet initiated in 2019 the gathering of musicians around a folk song repertoire from all regions of the Caucasus moutains area. Lazic multi-instrumentalist Emrah Kaptan joined him and then Catalan singer Núria Rovira Salat became the perfect enchanting voice of the band. Flutist and folk drummer from Provence Miquèu Montanaro then came to add his incredible crossover touch. Dancer and choreographer Beqa Noniashvili completed the ensemble.
