Sverre Knut Johansen's latest ambient electronic project PRECAMBRIAN brings Earth's earliest eons to life via musical poetry and found natural sounds, each representing significant geological periods and evolutionary events. Together with noted electronic artist Robert Rich, Johansen's dynamic approach to orchestrating the epochs spanning from the formation of Earth to the industrial and technological era breathe heart and realism into the music. Highly detailed sound worlds recreated with synthesized and organic sounds - at times atonal, but often rhythmic and melodic - form a mood-based landscape full of dramatic changes where life is created, and evolves, in-step with the extreme shifts on our planet
