The Hicksville Bombers are a British Rockabilly trio with 6 albums and zillions of gigs around the UK, Europe and USA behind them. Their previous releases have concentrated mostly on self-penned material, hence the Bombers have avoided being lost among the scene's countless cover bands. However, as their massive repertoire of 50s material gives them the ability to perform Rockabilly favourites on demand, they took the opportunity to record this album of 19 of their most requested cover songs. "Down In The Alabama Jailhouse" draws on the material of legendary Rockabillies such as Johnny Burnette, Jack Earls, Carl Perkins and Billy Lee Riley, also taking in a couple of covers of contemporary scene favourites Restless and Hot Boogie Chillun.
