The Finnish Gothic Rock act Hateful Chains was formed in 2016. In their music they combine the dark sounds and esthetics of Goth with elements of Indie Rock and Metal. The band was launched in 2018 when they released their first single and video A Night Like This and performed at Lumous Gothic Festival. So far they have released five singles and three music videos. As of 2021 Hateful Chains is signed to Danse Macabre Records, and their first album "Invite" will be released on 2nd April. The album "Invite" contains songs from a span of years. Most of the lyrics and music was created during Floras study of classical singing. The dark sounds and Gothic genre the music gradually took form in, felt like a home to the dark themes of her personal lyrics, arising from the desteperation and frustration she felt at that point in her life. With the help of the bands guitarist the first songs were arranged into their present form. The songs were gradually recorded in the bands hometown Turku between 2018 and 2020. "Invite" revolves around themes of inner conflict and darkness, reflecting the world around. The music takes the listener to gloomy lows or aggressive tones in one song, and to light headed highs in the next song, but always with a little nasty or sad twist to it
