This is the 2nd release by Harum-Scarum and it's a damn fine one! On their first (Mental Health Lp) they were a four piece with a lead singer doing some deep growling as well as vocal contributions by the other members. Now they stripped back to a three piece and whilst some may comment that they've become more accesable I think the overall effect actually has more impact. Musically it contuinues in the same vein with a kind of punk rock that mixes straight forward drumming with excellent flowing bass lines and great rocking guitar. All three women sing and the mix of voices adds something extra to the already very cool, strong personal/political lyrix. All in all an excellent piece of plastic with seven songs of the kind of intelligent well played, bouncy punk that keeps me going.
