The first ever Russian band on the Razgrom Music roster - sooner or later it had to happen! It is no secret that the guys from GIANT WAVES (ex-THE IMAGINARY STIGMA) are longtime friends of the label and played at many Razgrom Music parties in Razgroms hometown Volgo-grad as openers for plenty of amazing bands - from DIARY OF DREAMS to TORUL. However, Illya, Andrey & Michail continue to create music inspired by guitar post-punk, indie rock & new wave, and bands such as THE CURE, JOY DIVISION, CURRENT 93, and DEPECHE MODE, of course. The band set for itself very high standards of quality their debut full-length album and spent more than a year working on it. The result of this intensive work is the album Solidarnosc. A Mature and conceptual work, carefully executed in the best traditions of classic post-punk that shows a great sense of style & outstanding professionalism from the band members - not often heard from newcomers. The CD-version of Solidarnosc contains an impressive bonus section with songs from the first GIANT WAVES EP Hope & Fight, previously released in 2013 in digital formats only.
