Songs of Ghastly Menace was a full band effort, moving from two people performing their first release, to a full six members. On this record, Ghastly Menace worked with a producer, an outside ear to help develop their powerful sound. This included the fullness of composition, experimenting with non- instrumental sounds, and improving production techniques. A wider range of genres or styles within the songwriting were explored and utilized. Lyrically, the songwriting focused on more cohesive messages. These messages include adapting to being alone while still in a relationship, not getting ahead of yourself when falling in love, and ignoring promising opportunities when they arise. The album is full of heartbreaking topics and will slap you in the face with reality.
