When Kat Frankie is on stage, you see a androgynous-looking woman who has her guitar hanging around her neck and stands calmly with her hands in her pockets, before she steps to the mike. And then, when the singing starts, the serenity of the putative musician becomes a balancing at the abyss. This deep, dark voice, reminiscent in its intensity equal to or Annie Lennox PJ Harvey is very peculiar and unique. The most recent example, her third album ,Please Do not Give Me What I Want," proves once again that Kat Frankie is a well developed producer and arranger. ,I want my records to sound like in my head. And nobody can take over for me, I can only do this alone", says the musician. She worked constantly on the recording process and in the end she was responsible for their own. Also her fi rst two albums have been produced by her, with ,Please Do not Give Me What I Want" she now says, that it is the fi rst time, she found a sound that is absolutely similar to what she had in mind before.
