For a few years Eskobar has chosen to put all their focus on songwriting and creating rather than touring. During the past two years the band has been working in the Sound Habits studios with Swedish Grammy nominated producer Oscar Harryson recording the band's sixth album 'Magnetic'. Both the songs and the production have the signature Eskobar spirit but still with a clearly updated angle. Oscar Harryson has previously worked with a rather large number of artists in the electronic field and in the work with Eskobar his electronic vision has merged with Eskobar's melodically strong songs, Daniel Bellqvist's elegant voice and Frederik Zll's emotional guitars. The complete package is a new Eskobar-sound and eleven songs who all live their own life in their own worlds but with a clear connection between all of them. Previous Eskobar album releases are "'Til We're Dead" 2000, "There's Only Now" 2001, "A Thousand Last Chances" 2004, "Eskobar" 2006 & "Death In Athens" 2008. The band has been nominated for a Grammy award, Song Of The Year with the Heather Nova-duette "Someone New", won "Best Nordic Act" on MTV Awards and a number of other nominations and awards in Sweden but predominantly in Europe. France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria & Japan are the band's most successful markets to date and they've done lot's of touring in many countries since the first tour, supporting Swedish band The Wannadies in 1999. Since then they've supported Sting on tour, played MTV Awards, French Top Of The Pops, Fuji Rock Japan, the biggest stage on the Hultsfred Festival, Rock Am Ring etc. Eskobar just got home from a very successful tour as special guest of the great Roxette. 28 sold out arena shows all over Europe.
