With this new album, we return to the FUNdamentals. As authors, composers, arrangers, and producers of our 7th studio album, we happy to share with you "NEXT". As with everything chez Electro Deluxe "NEXT" is artisanal. Hands-on carefully crafted writing and recording. Created at home, this album is designed as an invitation to welcome YOU in to our living room. While continuing to push our boundaries, we wanted to blend our love for musical exploration with a desire to return to our roots. This desire to reconnect with our early influences in the realms of FUNK and SOUL is evident through the exceptional presence of our prestigious guests. Iconic Funk Horn Royalty is indeed featured on "NEXT." Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer, known for her work with Prince and Dave Stewart, graced us with a solo on the single "NAKIE". Swedish trombonist Nils Landgren joined our brass section for the instrumental groove on the title track of the album "NEXT". Fred Wesley, a true living legend and American trombonist who played with James Brown, Maceo Parker, and founded the "JB's," honors us by playing on a track written as a tribute to the music he embodies like no other, "BLADE". As we prioritize the stage above all else, we conceived this new album as a collection of moments to be shared during concerts. Because YOU ARE ELECTRO DELUXE. NEXT!
