Peter Jensen, the Danish National Choir Ensemble and the Danish Radio Big Band, interprets a musical drama deeply rooted
in Nordic legends. The story of the Selkies, the ocean, love - and the conflict between nature and man. At the Heart of
a Selkie" is a musical tale about the Selkie women; it is abstract but very sensitive. A fairy tale with an exciting
plot but also a moral claim in a unique soundscape, created with samples from nature by sound artist Morten Brt and
hymns by Thomas Kingo resounding in the background.
