Introduced to fellow Pulaar speaker Baaba Maal by Hilaire Chaby-Hary, Baaba's keyboiard player also from Kolda a town in
the south of Senegal and located in the Casamance region, Abdoeu became convinced that he should to stick to his
southern roots and his career blossomed. Working in the club circuit in Dakar he caught the attention of an influential
radio DJ, Michael Soumah, and by the late 90s was tasting succes for the first time. Acoustic in texture, it expresses
values that aredear to rural life in teh Casamance so that today, whis his mottos of hard work, love and peace, Abdou
has become a musical ambassador for that region. Welcome to his world.
