Dead Guitars
Airplanes
Pete Brough, one of the founder-members of the legendary TWELVE DRUMMERS DRUMMING, and Ralf Aussem, guitarist from the
original 12DD cast, have joined forces with vocalist Carlo van Putten who have helped breathe life into DEAD GUITARS.
Former THE CONVENT singer, Carlo van Putten, had flourishing partnerships with Mark Burgess (The Chameleons), Marty
Willson-Piper (The Church) and especially with Adrian Borland, mastermind behind the British cult band THE SOUND, until
his suicide in 1999. What remained was the musical legacy of WHITE ROSE TRANSMISSION and the undying will to win over an
international audience with a new band. DEAD GUITARS are the resurrection of authentic Indie Pop, the reincarnation of
sweeping, melancholy ballads, the renaissance of the atmospheric "wall of sound", those filigree, towering guitar riffs
that once made Ralf Aussem such an exceptional guitarist for the almost surreal way in which they blend with clear song
structures and shatter the listening habits of the pop genre - finally!
