The Crawdads are no Rockabilly fly-by-nights. They have been around for 20 years, and this is only their second album in that time. They first appeared on the Northwood label in the mid 80s, a company legendary among Rockabilly fans, became in-demand as a live act and for tracks on compilation albums before finally releasing their debut album 'On A Platter'. This LP showed The Crawdads' ability to combine the authentic '50s Rockabilly sound with excellent, edgy song-writing - something which is continued here on their second album, a decade later. Quality reigns above quantity - and the standard of their original songs along with their dynamic covers of 50s obscurites remains impeccable.
