In 2023, the legendary violinist and singer Yilian Canizares returns to the forefront of the music scene to celebrate her ten-year career with a new album, "Habana-Bahia", recorded in Brazil. A veritable musical, spiritual and cultural marriage between Brazil and her native Cuba. The cultural, musical and spiritual links between Brazil and Cuba have always been obvious. Salvador de Bahia, the cradle of Afro-Brazilian culture, represents the uniqueness of Brazil. It was in this mixed, colourful, mysterious and delicious environment that Yilian instinctively chose to give birth to her new music. Over and above the strong inter-cultural relationship between Cuba and Brazil, these two countries have been, individually and for decades, incredibly fertile and effervescent poles of musical diversity in the world, which makes this reunion all the more powerful.
