Since the world-wide release of their debut full length album The OCEAN on Century Media/Alveran records, and their sophomore album FEAR OF FALLING SKIES through Curve/Universal, Winnipeg based Burnthe8track, comprised of brothers Derek and Jason Kun, and brothers Sam and Ethan Osland, have taken the world by storm. Propelling their turbulent live show through Canada, the U.S., and Europe they have opened for bands including Sum 41, Propagandhi, Comeback Kid, Ignite, The Misfits, and AFI. They have played major festivals including the Vans Warped tour, and made appearances at industry showcases including CMJ, JunoFest, and NXNE. The band has had two videos in rotation on MuchMusic, MuchLoud, MTV2, MTV Europe, and VIVA Europe. Their songs have also appeared on the soundtracks to ESPNs NHL 2K5 and MTVs Cribs.2008 will see the re-release of their original album DIVISION through Grapes of Wrath. This album, which was originally released only In Canada as a 6 song E.P., will include 10 tracks including the lead off single BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS. This album is a tumultuous ride through personal struggle, political despair, and imminent environmental disaster that somehow, like the calm after a storm, leaves the listener with a sense of hope.
