Meth Head follows the release of BETTER OFFs 2013 debut LP (I Think) Im Leaving. The albums stirring, well-crafted songs caught the attention of fans and critics alike, and felt remarkably mature for a young band. The Meth Head 7" is the bands first release on their new label, Equal Vision Records. The Arun Bali (SAVES THE DAY)-produced 7" features "Meth Head" as well as the B-side "I Was Better 10 Years Ago." "Meth Head is about self-destructive behavior," singer/guitarist Luke Granered tells Diffuser. "At the time we wrote this, I had been watching Breaking Bad and was obsessed with Walter Whites character. He is the definition of destructive behavior." The members of BETTER OFF are no strangers to the Nashville alternative rock scene, having played in various other projects in the area in recent years. Comparisons to the likes of JIMMY EAT WORLD, BRAND NEW, and KNAPSACK seem fitting, yet BETTER OFF provide enough of their own take on the sound to createsomething unique.
