Following the dissolution of his first post-Maiden act Di'Anno, Paul Di'Anno formed Strike, the band that eventually evolved into Battlezone. Unlike his previous outfit, a band that ploughed an altogether more melodic furrow, Battlezone was a return to the British heavy metal sound that Di'Anno had helped to define during his time in Iron Maiden. With debut album 'Fighting Back' under their collective belts and ith ex Persian Risk men Graham Bath and Steve Hopgood on guitar and drums respectively now on board, the band set about the task of making album number two. "Children Of Madness" is rightly considered a bit of a lost late NWOBHM gem and the opening riff to the title track tells you very quickly that you are about to enjoy a slab of pure British metal the like of which they just don't make anymore!
