The Bad is a Swiss-based concept band of three people, frontwoman Julia Jones from Latvia, frontman Eric Noorman from Amsterdam, and a mysterious drummer under the name of Zed D. While Julia and Eric rock an energetic live show, the drummer never appears live, only seen as a projection on a screen. Their music is a wild mixture of grunge, alternative rock, noise rock, and post punk. They hate being limited by a single style or genre, and they break genre boundaries to create their own sound. Good music does not have to be complex, its often the simplest riffs that make the most exciting tracks, so keeping it simple is The Bad philosophy. In the end, everything has been done before and the best way to go is to get back to the roots and work out of the preconceptions of traditional styles. Simple, pumping music, inventive lyrics and a deep love for rock are the essence of The Bad.
