"Shattered" is a song about hope and perseverance. It is a plea to the listener to see past the pain and misery life can throw around, to experience the beauty that enables a perspective that allows us to live the life we want regardless of the strife. "Safe and Legal" is a direct response to the heightened threats to abortion rights here in the United States and around the world. Bad Cop is leveraging their platform to raise awareness and advocate for universal abortion access. Singer/bassist Linh sums it up perfectly: "Our ongoing effort is to remove legal restrictions to integrate them as routine medical procedure. Its a private healthcare matter, plain and simple."
